Underfloor heating laid below or within a sand and cement or calcium sulphate screed is very much seen as the traditional method of installing underfloor heating and is the most common method of installation.
With this method the installation of the UFH takes place in a largely completed buildings which are weathertight with the doors and windows installed.
The underfloor heating, complete with installation/edge insulation, is laid on a concrete subfloor and is then overlaid with either a fibre reinforced sand cement screed or a flowing calcium sulphate screed.
